Leland @ one year

• loves to swing, loves strawberries, loves to unpack drawers, loves Backyardigans, loves to play piano with his Nom, loves his brother, loves to 'drive', loves his cow ('baby cow'). He especially loves his grandparents.
• what I love about him- he is a lover, he knows what he wants, watching him swing his feet to the music in his car seat, he is a kisser, the way he tries to 'run' to keep up with Beau, the way he smiles when he's sleepy- he is so quick to smile. I love the way stands up and talks to his own hand with his brow furrowed. I love the way he giggles at Beau.
• what is a little tricky--- he does not want to be weaned, he will fuss and claw at me until I let him nurse, he still gets up in the night, he wants to be held but he wants to run around, he can already throw a fit, he is now fearful that I am leaving him forever when we go to new places or I try to hand him over.
• his skills: he is a good walker, he tries to put lids on things - his face is so serious. Every once in a while he will say a word but I'm not sure if he knows any.
