Personality A

Personality B

he does at least an hour worth of puzzles a day... He loves them. It surprises me because he's not the sit still kind. But, he is the focused and careful goal-oriented kind.

Sweet Georgie... She is such a great dog... So affectionate but tough. Beau like to jump over her face and Leland has fallen on her...well, a lot. I am still missing Jake but I love this pound puppy... I swear, both of my pound puppies have seemed so grateful and adoring.

The awesomeness of our babysitter Sam... This is what I saw when I looked for Beau- his bed is in the background.

Violet and Beau....We have seen a lot of her lately... she is hilarious and unbelievably sweet. It's nice for me to have some baby ;) girl in my life.

doesn't he look like a grown up in this photo? I fear his chubbyness is fading..

still my baby- although 23 months...ah! the cheeks and the wispy baby hair have helped me hang on to the idea that he is a baby. That, and the fact that everyone calls him 'baby'.

This last week was hard in some ways but really made me appreciate my boys. I am a mom who slows down and plays but i still find i am always thinking about what's 'next'. Not having a 'next' and conquering the fear that we might all die or go crazy if we didn't have plans gave me a different perspective on what my kids 'need'. Sometimes they need to do nothing....to wait for their imaginations to kick in....to toss a ball back and forth for hours or to play in the tub for 45 minutes. It was a gift and a reminder of how fleeting their time at home is. I sometimes forget to really enjoy them. I appreciate, once again, all of the time I have and am beginning to be heavy hearted about how fast they are growing and how quickly they will be out in the world ;)
