We found out this week that we are having another boy! We were both surprised since this pregnancy was so different (and worse) than the other two. We are excited. It is always such a blessing to see that your baby is healthy. I found myself a little bit anxious about the ultrasound just because although I have been healthy this pregnancy- once the sickness stopped, I kind of forget I'm pregnant. I can feel the baby move now and at the ultrasound there was a lot of pushing on my belly to try to pin that baby down in order to listen and look. I'm fairly certain Ryan and I only have wild children so it doesn't surprise me. I don't really notice how active my boys are when I'm not pregnant but man oh man- they are hard to keep up with and keep busy with this pregnancy. With baby Eliza new this last month- both of the boys were able to see how tiny a newborn is. Beau is especially sweet with babies- always wanting to help. If it wasn't for that dang middle kid ;) (isn't he supposed to be the easy one) I would have no worry. But- a 2.5 yr old is probably not the easiest age so here's hoping. The cuteness and novelty of pregnancy is OVER for me, it never really set in- i just want the baby to be born healthy. When people ask if I was trying for a girl or if we will try again for a girl- the answer is no and no. This will be our last baby and we know God intends him to be in our family. Still- it does ease the pain of the no-girl thing to have so many great women, and 3 nieces, in my life. It always surprises me the way people talk about girls and boys- as if they have figured the genders out. The only thing that is for sure is that we will be busy and that they will be wild- but that was bound to be true either way. My boys are so different and fairly extreme versions of different so it will be interesting to add another personality to the mix. Although 2 would have definitely been enough (and easier)- I love the idea of them being grown ups together and I have loved having 2 sisters. We have a name picked out (kind of) and plenty of boy stuff so now we just wait. Potty training is in Leland's future as is getting the big boys in the same room. I have a new office at the center that I am excited to put together and Ryan is busier than ever at work. I hope time flies which would be great for jan-march.
