Man oh man he smiles a lot and also cries a lot...He is either happy or he's not. He is a lot of work right now- he seems soooo old in some ways, considerate and conversational. He will get up in the morning and ask me 'how did you sleep?' ....he loves to talk but is also still so sloppy and easily distracted. He will walk right into the street, can barely sit still for a story (actually he has to be rocking) and 10,000 times a day I have to say "lele...Lele... are you listening to Mama." He's started casually telling me "I will be a good listener," but- it's not true. His teachers in their evaluation wrote of these difficulties with following direction and sequences but commented on his good nature and big heart. Isn't that the truth with all children (and all people) - the good and the not-so-good tend to balance out somehow. We realized recently while Ryan and Beau were out of town that Leland is sooo much less chaotic and wild with out his brother. They are quite the pair- crazy and funny and naughty. One at a time- they would both be easy. Lord have mercy when we add another brother to the mix. I'm pretending that I have tons of time- to stay sane.
