Shepherd has had a rough start... He is healthy and chubby but he has had a lot of tummy troubles, done a lot of fussing and stayed awake for hours... Sometimes he stays awake for 6-7 hrs at a time... Geez. We started using pro-biotic powder week 4. It has really helped with his gas. Before the powder he was spending probably 80% of his awake time in pain and now he hardly ever turns blue and screams with gas. Sometimes it is painful for him to nurse which is hard for him...and for me. But, clearly he is nursing more than enough. He has begun smiling. He is noisy... protesting loudly and making happy nursing sounds loudly. Typical third kid I suppose. Beau is very helpful with him and Leland loves to 'pet' him and tells me he loves him. It has been a lot wild ;) especially since we can't really play outside at home or at a park with the 100 degree temps. I am looking forward to august...with Beau beginning kindergarten and Shepherd being 3 months old- the magic age. He is a fairly good night sleeper, usually getting up twice, nursing quickly and going right back down. Sometimes he only gets up once but that's rare. I feel great and not so tired.
