I noticed that I have photographed mostly Leland lately so here are a few of Beau at Monkey Joe's. They aren't super cute because of all of the moving. We went with Beau's best friend Kaelina and my friend Amy. Amy called me before hand and said she would get in all of the bounce houses etc (she is so considerate) so it made it much easier for me with the nursing and he recovering body. Beau and Kaelina are both so busy and active and they really like each other. Beau's personality is so funny. I say he's 'goal oriented'. He decides he wants to do something physical and then he does it and does it and does it until it's mastered. He must have done the same slide at Monkey Joe's 100 times. This morning he said to me "Mama... watch dis... Beau jump, frow wammy at ky." Translation, I am going to jump and then throw my lamby. He did this for maybe 15 minutes telling me every single time exactly what he was doing. He is very stubborn and persistent as well. Right now he has an obsession with his uncle "Benny"... Ryan and I joke about who the rock-star of the moment is. First it was Nom, then Janie, and now Benny. It is the person he sings Happy Birthday to, calls on the phone and frequently asks about while we are rocking at night. "Where Benny go?" "Benny brush teeth" etc. He is cracking us up all of the time which is good because the other one has been soooo cranky in the evening that we need some comic relief. We are still fairly rested though- he has been getting up once between 10 and 6 since he was 2 weeks old and finally these last few nights when he nurses around 3 he has gone right back to sleep. I haven't watched my DVR Oprah's but this morning I hardly remember getting up. I am still tired from all of the holding and swaying. Leland doesn't care for his swing, his carseat ("baby cy more"), or his bouncy seat. Hmmmmm. I have had this problem with both boys.
