Beau at play

Beau has been so great lately. He still finds some things really difficult. Halloween was challenging )in the beginning) because he is very strange about attention and did not want to walk up to people and ask for candy. He had to cry on the curb for a while and then he was able to go up to people. By the end of the evening he was saying 'trick or treat' and 'thankyou' which is a big deal for him. He is so reliable and reasonable in most ways. He's the kind of kid you can give a whole bad of candy to and he would eat 2 and close the bag because he doesn't want to get a tummy ache and he needs healthy food for energy ;) so funny. He is showing signs of being a wonderfully compassionate and understanding person. One thing that is clear about him is that he is exceptionally athletic. I know all parents think their kids are great at stuff but I tell you what- that kid has crazy skills...I tried to run with him around the track today and I literally couldn't keep up. He ran half a mile- for fun and wasn't even winded. He can cross the 10 monkey bars and turn around (without stopping) and go back to the beginning. He loves to move and it's funny how I think of his exercise needs first- like he's a dog ;. He has begun playing alone with his friends and occasionally I listen in and I am so proud of him. He works really hard in all aspects of his life and what an awesome way to be. I could actually use a little more 'Beau' in my personality which is why I appreciate him so much.
