he hasn't gained much in the last few months... Dare I say he is 'slowing down'. We have the amazing blessing of having Dr. Cumming. He was my dr. growing up and now he is the boys. He is the best doctor. Recently Leland had to have some tests done while Dr. Cumming was out of town so it was great to see Papa Jim and hear that everything is fine. Leland was sent to the neurologist and they told us he had lower than average muscle tone. This isn't a big deal but he does fall constantly. He is soooo playful and is just always kicking and rolling around and throwing his body all around. Dr. Cumming said that he just 'doesn't seem to have awareness of how his body is moving through space' and that this is his personality and his age. I never really had a sense that anything was 'wrong' with this baby but it's never good when you are sent to a neurologist. It made me appreciate my big healthy baby and the amazing doctors that take care of the healthy and not-so-healthy ones. At nearly 20 months, Leland has mastered a ton of words although they are sloppy too. He loves music class, wiggles, playing with cars and generally being ridiculously cute ;) He is easy in many ways- mostly smiles, but because he has soooo much love for certain activities, we have begun the fit throwing- I will drive the car/watch the ocutups/do whatever it is I NEED to do right NOW- phase. He could not be any sweeter right now though and we have begun to feel like we have kids- not babies... sigh.
