Todays news

Today is, most importantly, Violet Jane's first birthday. So- I will be posting pictures from her party later. She is the sweetest baby in the world and I'm not kidding. She just smiles and eats... In other news, I had my 28 week appointment. Everything looked fine, I measured right on. These next two appointments 30 and 32 weeks are when Beau began to make a my belly a little too large so we shall see. I had the glucose screening which wasn't that bad considering I can't breathe or taste anything. I didn't gain much these 5 weeks, or I did and then lost it with the stomach flu and cold so I have a feeling next week I will be ravenous. I am starting to feel very curious about this baby and what he will look like. With Beau I wasn't surprised, big, white baby with chubby thighs. I know the chances of that are still very high but I'm curious to see if he has that little rubber pig nose that Beau was born with etc. I'm hoping they look different, I'm not sure why. My parents look like little adorable book-ends and they have 3 daughters that look very different. So, maybe these boys will look different too. Lastly, Beau had his first music class yesterday. He was acting so grumpy. Mama had to march and run and carry Beau while singing in her sexy-phlegm voice. Then, about halfway through, Beau decided I wasn't going to abandon him and stood next to the leader and gave her his mean look. She sang and sang to him and he stood there, brows furrowed for the last 10 minutes. I am hopeful though. He LOVES music. He is beginning to sing on his own and I can sometimes actually recognize the song. He is very good at head- shoulders -knees and toes and has been singing "Jingle Bo's" today. Thanks to Emmy and uncle Benny for getting Beau music lessons as an early Christmas present. It is right down the street and gives us something to do on Wednesday mornings- it is best to keep Beau busy and if I sit down I might fall asleep. I put this pic on because I love it when he smiles this way- he has clearly been jumping, his favorite thing to do.
