There was a celebration of my grandfathers life yesterday in Leland, Michigan. We couldn't make it but I wanted to put a photo or two up of him and post this little quote. It seems to describe him perfectly. Wabash College President Pat White said upon hearing of Ristine’s passing. “He was courageous in times of trouble, humble in times of great success, and through it all, wise and caring, generous and kind, with an amiable spirit marked by wit and humor and a fine appreciation of life and learning." What more could anyone be? My sister Jane has the entire article on her blog.

I read that article and it is impossible to not come away incredibly impressed! No wonder you people are so fantastic! I loved how he wrote a letter a day to your Grandmother. So sweet!
